Esther Price is a chocolate manufacturer and an iconic Dayton brand that locals take a lot of pride in. So when they hit us up to help them with their website, marketing, and design, it was not a task we took lightly at all. Of course, the challenges were quick to come. For chocolate companies, Thanksgiving through Valentines’ Day make up the majority of the year’s sales. Once the temperatures rise, sales plummet. Our first challenge for 2019’s spring-summer season was to strategize how we keep Esther Price top-of-mind all year long. Our solutions resulted in a 7% sales increase 6 months into the new year. And we’re just getting started.
Design & Marketing
Our challenge with Esther Price has been to marry their iconic gold foil gift box image with something more elegant, modern, and luxurious. With a new line of candies and a shift into markets that may be unfamiliar with the Esther Price brand we needed a freshened up identity with broader appeal. We chose a more neutral color palette and font to really let the color come from the product photography itself and give the non-traditional product lines agency of their own. Updated package design, in-store collateral, and brand standards are now being developed after the success of our marketing push.
Social Media & Digital Marketing
The proof for why Esther Price invests in professional social media is in the results. Using nothing more than organic social media, content strategy and organic media coverage, we were able to activate a base of 27,000 into 1 million organic impressions with a single post on Facebook alone. Our efforts were covered in over 20 news stories and per-post engagement is up 200% and online orders increased to include every state plus Canada during our campaign. A new website and e-commerce store are coming in 2020.
