For a smaller midwest city, Dayton has an abundance of truly talented and unique artists, and Culture Works actively works to support and unify this community. Culture Works is a non-profit that connects artists to opportunities to earn a living and grow their profile. So they needed a brand identity that reflected this mission and positioned them as a forward-thinking, modern, arts advocacy organization. They also needed an easy to navigate web presence that artists and community members could use to easily connect with these opportunities and understand what Culture Works is all about.

Culture Works considers themselves to be at the intersection of art, business, and community. This concept of intersections played heavily into our branding concept, which combined with a bright, rainbow-like color palette resulted in a beautiful modern identity that embodies the artistic flair they desired, without directly referencing any particular art discipline. The result was an award-winning brand system that stands unique among the bevy of arts non-profits.

Culture Works had a number of technological and content organization challenges with the development of their new website. Solutions for donations, events, and member services all required custom solutions. The biggest challenge though was the development of a tool for school systems and teachers to find arts-related field trip events for students. The result was a beautiful and creative looking site with secure and stable technology driving it.
